The image is first printed to a specially coated paper which is heat transferred onto the metal substrate. As water in the ink evaporates, the ink transitions from a solid to gaseous state. When the metal cools, the ink becomes water and scratch-resistant so no lamination is needed. The ink is virtually infused into the metal and the resulting print features outstanding richness in color and clarity (8 color, 1440 DPI). Prints have rounded corners for safety, are backed with a low profile track brace and shipped with all necessary hardware for easy hanging. Print floats approximately 3/4" off of the wall.
